Dr Roquero’s family is originally from Spain. She was born and raised in Mexico City and spent the summers in Spain with her grandmother. Dentistry was in her heart since she was 5 years old. She attended Miraflores School in Mexico City from the age of five to nineteen years old. She received her dental degree (DDS) as a Valedictorian from UNITEC (Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico) in Mexico City in 1985. She did her one year social service at Mexico State Hospital and Dental Clinic where she provided dental care to low income families.

In November of 1986 she moved to Austin, Texas with her parents, two brothers and sister. She did her Thesis Research on” TMJ and its internal derangements” at the University Of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. In 1989 she defended her thesis with an oral exam in Mexico City for licensure. In 1988 she took the dental refresher program at UCLA extension and obtained her dental license from the State Of California Board of Dental Examiners in 1991. In 1993 she was licensed in Texas and has been practicing in Austin ever since.

The value of life long learning has been of great importance to Dr. Roquero and completes 40 to 50 hours of continuing education every year.

She has been devotedly married for over 20 years to her best friend Pat and both enjoy spending time outdoors visiting different National Parks every year. She loves helping people, playing the guitar and praying in song and spending time with family.

She does volunteer work at “Manos De Cristo”, Seton Medical Center, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, Community First, and ministry with the homeless and the homebound.
